Description: Kasetsart University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Forest Department and PTT to conserve and develop the green space of Kung Bang Ka Chao, comprising 6 subdistricts, namely Bang Ka Chao Subdistrict, Bang Nam Phueng Subdistrict, Bang Kho Bua Subdistrict, Bang Krasop Subdistrict, Bang Yo Subdistrict, and Song Khanong Subdistrict, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province, which aims to increase green space and habitat for many animals, as well as create plots to create income-generating forests, grow fruit trees and economic trees such as mango flower juice, mangosteen, ginger, khan, herbs that can be used as a model, tree planting for economic benefits, and can be applied in the daily life of the community in the area.

Kasetsart University has joined forces with Bang Ka Chao community to make the area an eco-tourism and environmentally conservative site, a farmland that is home to the park and Si Nakhon Khuean Khan Park, with an area of about 200 rai, and the Thai Betta Museum allows individuals to experience the lifestyle, culture, traditions, and nature, driving environmentally friendly tourism and promoting a better quality of life for the people in the community. Description: Faculty of Natural Resources and Agro-Industry, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus organized a project to develop labor skills towards becoming a new generation of rice agricultural entrepreneurs, with a ‘lifelong learning’ activity with farmers Ban Nong Hoi, Ban Non Sala, Ban Nong Sanom, Ban Khok Sa-at, Ban Phon Sawang, Ban Na Kham Hai, and Ban Non Ben presenting their work. It is a way to reduce inequality in Thai society of Sakon Nakhon-Nakhon Phanom Province. The project aims to develop the skills of aspiring entrepreneurs to improve the quality of life through community innovation. Workforce Skills Development Program to Become a New Generation of Agricultural Entrepreneurs in the Digital Age, Kasetsart University Career Development Agency (SAKOL), with support from the Fund for Educational Equality. The project’s goal is to include disadvantaged groups in the community with at least 10 percent more jobs and incomes. The project selected target groups of organic rice producers in Chiang Khong Subdistrict, Muang District, Sakon Nakhon Province, where disadvantaged persons such as the unemployed and informal workers of 50 participated in the knowledge transfer process to develop additional occupations related to rice, which is the basis of important local and national resources. The technology transfer consists of four courses: low-cost organic rice production courses, rice processing courses, online marketing courses, and sufficiency economy lifestyle courses. Once the knowledge has been transferred, the label group will be monitored and consulted by experts to be able to produce and sell products that generate income for the family, as well as establish a group management system so that the label group can produce products for both online and offline markets. In addition to the products transferred knowledge from the project, the project also provides advice and support for products that the community already has to develop to be available for sale in the online market. The results showed that more than 80 percent of post-season jobs were created for the target audience and the average income increased by more than 19 percent.
